Dear GreatLIFE Members, Team Members & Support Team,
Golf in November! I love the great weather we are experiencing! Hope you are enjoying it as well. With Thanksgiving approaching, it is a time for family and friends getting together and focusing on all the blessings in our lives. A while back, I put together some of the lessons that I have learned over the years both in good times and challenging times. Here are some of them:
LESSONS FROM A GREATLIFE
My definition of Success: “Success when the ones closest to you, love and respect you the most.”
My one rule: “Think before you act, do what is right & take care of one another.”
Focus on the good things in your life – write them down, review frequently.
It starts with your HEART a passion for life! A whatever it takes attitude.
Enthusiasm and success seem to go hand in hand.
Attitude is everything. Hire for attitude, train for skills.
Develop a culture of caring, committed people based on your mission & vision.
Have fun, smile a lot, use please and thank you often.
Secret to success; Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
Catch people doing things right and make a big deal of it.
Look for the good in everybody.
Introduce people with a sincere compliment.
All long-term success is based upon solid win/win relationships.
What everyone wants – to be treated with respect & appreciation.
The 3 Rs; RESPECT for self, RESPECT for other & RESPONSIBITY for your actions.
Lead by example, show the right way & bring other along
Develop MISSION Statements: Personal, Marriage & Family mission statements.
You get one chance for 1° impression.
Your two most important days: Ist: The day you are born, 2nd: The day you discover WHY you were born.
No one is promised tomorrow, show and tell the ones you care for and love, how important they are to you.
Servant Leadership: put other first and help them become successful.
Your greatest assets are your family, your friends, your attitude & your word.
In giving, I have found that I receive more than the recipient, it makes me and everyone around me better.
I have found that God will not be outdone in generosity & kindness.
Change is inevitable, grow with it. Become a lifelong learner.
Get involved with a charity that touches your heart, get your family involved.
Listen, listen, listen – there is a reason God gave you two ears and one mouth.
Character is like the medal of a sword, it is tested and defined in fire.
Together, develop a reward system.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
It is the journey that brings you true happiness, not the destination.
Own a dog, they give unconditional love – if dogs & kids likes someone, usually so do I.
Back in 1993, during an interview, I was asked “How would you like to be remembered?” My answer today is the same as back then “That I cared and I made a difference.”
Thanks for being a GreatLIFE Member and best wishes for this Thanksgiving season. Please remember to vote on November 8th.
Enclosed is a video of a little jump roping that I hope you enjoy!
