Dear GreatLIFE Member, Team Member & Support Team,
Spring has sprung! Golf season is upon us we are looking forward to another great season especially as we come out of the COVID virus thanks to the vaccine and herd immunity beginning. We are still following all CDC recommendations to ensure you and our Teams health and safety.
Our GreatLIFE Academy is up and running out at our Willow Run Golf Club for club fitting, lessons and practicing with certified PGA professionals with state-of-the-art equipment for analysis of your full swing and putting. It begins with an interview with your PGA professional in discovering your current state of your game, if there are any physical limitations and your goals to be a better golfer. Please contact our Player Development Director Drew Trautman at 605-651-1778 or at [email protected]. You can learn more by going to our website www.joingreatlife.com and click on the golf icon.
Since the remodeling of our Revitalize Massage Therapy facility at our Woodlake Athletic Club our four professional massage therapists have been very busy taking care of our Members and Guests. The benefits of massage therapy are significant beyond stress relief and pain. We offer seven different massage options to meet your needs. You can schedule a massage appointment by calling 605-361-0445 or visiting the front desk at our Woodlake Athletic Club. We also have Massage Gift Cards that make great gifts.
We are beginning planning for our second annual GreatLIFE Cares Foundation’s Challenge for Change which will be June 21st at our Willow Run Golf Club featuring our coalition of over 30 charitable and civic organizations. We will be updating information soon, so please consider joining us.
This month’s focus of our GreatLIFE Cares Foundation are Stand Together’s Youth Entrepreneur program and Junior Achievement program. Both programs emphasis is on student personal development and discovering their own innate gifts and talents. Back in 2019 we sponsored 23 teachers to be trained and they did 37 classes in seven middle and high schools. One of the key elements of Youth Entrepreneur program is that over 90% of participating students graduate from high school. If you don’t graduate from high school, you are seven times more likely to live a life of poverty plus other negative outcomes. This past Summer we even had a YE class down at the YMCA with the Boys & Girls Club. You can learn more about YE at www.youthentrepreneurs.org if interested.
Junior Achievement is a national program that has been in our community for many years. Its focus on giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures and make smart academic and economic choices. You can learn more by going to their website www.jasd.org if interested.
As always, thanks for being a GreatLIFE Member and remember our “Refer A Friend” program where you receive a $50 GreaLIFE Gift Card that can be used throughout our GreatLIFE facilities. Have a wonderful Easter holiday and get out and enjoy the nice weather. Also, I think you’ll enjoy the video “Shoulder Taps”.
