The journey to your best golf starts at The GreatLIFE Golf Academy. Each individual or group lesson begins with an interview about the current state of your game, any physical limitations that may affect your ability to swing the golf club, and the goals you want to achieve with your golf game.

Next, high-speed video of your swing will be taken using our state-of-the-art V1 Golf motion analysis software. After a review of the video, our instructors can show you innovative and effective ways of skill development using specific drills and training aids. At the end of each lesson a detailed summary and demonstration of key points will be discussed and that information along with an initial analysis will be put into a personal online locker that you can access using any computer or smartphone.

Using state-of-the-art technology along with our instructor’s wealth of knowledge, You will be well on your way to playing your best golf!

2023 Lesson Rates

Single Individual Session : $100 + tax

3-Lesson Package: $250 + tax

5-Lesson Pckage: $400 + tax

Junior Individual Session (16 years and younger): $60 + tax

9-Hole Playing Lesson: $175 + tax

2023 Group Lesson Rates

Group Session (2-4 people): $60 per person

Junior Group Session (2-4 juniors) (16 years and younger): $40 per person

Drew Trautman

Director of Player Development

As the Director of Player Development for the GreatLIFE Golf Academy, Drew Trautman PGA, can help bring together the art and science of the golf swing to your game. Drew takes inspiration from such instructors as Kyle Morris, Alex Riggs, and Cameron McCormick. Drew joined the GreatLIFE Golf Academy in 2021 and is driven to help his students reach their goals and succeed on and off the golf course. Drew’s philosophy to teaching is to keep things simple, giving you your individual roadmap to success through easy to follow, feedback driven golf instruction.

A Clear Lake, SD native, Drew began his journey being a student of the game playing for Deuel High School where he and his teammates accumulate multiple team and individual scoring records. Drew then came to Sioux Falls to play for Augustana University. As a Viking, he continued having success helping Augustana to multiple team accomplishments. He then began his coaching career after graduation where he coached the Augustana men’s golf team under the direction of head coach Danny Sinksen. Drew’s ambition as a player still drives him and he regularly competes in local professional and PGA Section events.

When not at the Academy, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife, Samantha, as well as his two children, Kayson and Trigg.
