We always work to provide our members with the best value and convenience in golf and fitness. One of the ways we add value and convenience is through our affiliate program. We have often added to the number of affiliate golf courses, and we occasionally reduce the number. GreatLIFE pays our affiliate courses a price so that our members can play the course free. The key factor for adding or maintaining an affiliation is value for our members. We also consider whether GreatLIFE courses in the area have capacity.
Effective April 4, 2019, River Ridge Golf Course is no longer an affiliate of GreatLIFE. River Ridge has been with us since 2014. We really like the golf course and the people there. With almost every affiliate golf course we have been able to find a price that is good for the affiliate and reasonable for GreatLIFE members. Unfortunately, we have simply been unable to settle on a price that is a win for both River Ridge and GreatLIFE going forward. Ideally we would like every course to be an affiliate, but if we overpay for affiliates, we would not be able to maintain the same value for our members.
GreatLIFE members can play 18 area courses without paying green fees. We recommend playing Rocky Run in Dell Rapids and Central Valley in Hartford. Both are spectacular 18-hole courses with very nice clubhouses and outstanding staff. Both also have room for more rounds. We will be offering even greater values for those who choose to play these two courses. In addition, there are nearby affiliate courses in Luverne, MN and at Hidden Valley in Brandon. Changing affiliate courses does not change your membership agreement. Your agreement allows us to either add to or subtract from the number of affiliates. You may change or end your contract at your next renewal date.
