GreatLIFE’s largest satellite fitness center is ready to start serving the west side.
The new center in the Roosevelt Marketplace on Sertoma Avenue north of 41st Street is scheduled to open Wednesday.
It’s almost 10,000 square feet and quadruple the size of the nearby GreatLIFE center that it’s replacing.
“The finishing touches are coming along great,” manager Brittany Brazee said. “The new space looks amazing, and I am so excited for our members to have this great space to work out.”
The new GreatLIFE location includes men’s and women’s saunas, indoor turf, a group fitness room and state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
“We have excellent personal trainers,” Brazee added. “And we plan to offer a kettlebell group fitness class here that’s not offered at any of our other locations.”
The new fitness center also is connected to Year Round Brown, where GreatLIFE members enjoy discounts and 24-hour access to certain tanning services.
They also can work out in the fitness center 24 hours a day.
“This side of town continues to expand, and we’re so excited to be able to offer a larger facility to our members,” Brazee said. “We get a diverse crowd that stays fairly steady throughout the day, and I know that’s only going to grow with our new space.”
The new GreatLIFE fitness center will be staffed from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
It’s the newest addition to Roosevelt Marketplace, which has been steadily adding tenants, including Nail World and Giliberto’s, which also opens next week.
There’s about 6,000 square feet left to lease, according to Year Round Brown owner Zach Neugebauer,
“We have a lot of interest, which is great,” he said, adding potential future tenants include a hair salon, quick-service food and a bank.
