Sioux Falls, South Dakota (April 21, 2016) – At GreatLIFE Malaska Golf & Fitness Club Worthington, there’s always something to celebrate, and this month the company is celebrating its first year in Worthington and a new vice president.
The festivities began with a Worthington Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting on Wednesday, April 20, and will be followed up with an all-day Open House including a mixer with refreshments from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on April 27.
New members that sign up during the Open House will get their first month’s membership FREE and no initiation fee.
The public is invited to come out, mix and mingle with the community, learn more about GreatLIFE Worthington, and meet recently named Vice President of Public Relations, Community Relations and Corporate Partnerships, Chad Nixon.
A Worthington resident, Nixon is very active in the community, serving on various community committees and boards. He brings more than 20 years of experience in business management and ownership to the GreatLIFE Malaska Golf & Fitness Club organization.
Nixon met Tom Walsh, Sr., GreatLIFE Chairman/CEO, while attending the University of South Dakota. This was the beginning a business relationship and friendship that has evolved over time. Nixon joined the Dakota King family in 1998, managing the Burger King in Worthington and subsequently became Walsh’s business partner and now, Vice President of Public Relations, Community Relations and Corporate Partnerships for GreatLIFE Worthington.
“I can think of no one better than Chad to drive the future development of GreatLIFE in Worthington,” said Walsh. Chad is not only focused making the city a great place to live and work, but also on our goals of membership growth, program development and increased club exposure. People that have worked with him on projects know just how effective he can be when he’s determined to get things done.”
